Sipoon Äänet is organized for the seventh time! The festival is, as usual, a distinctive mix of the familiar and the unknown, something very old and brand new. We are proud to welcome Rolf Lislevand, the master of old keyboards. He has been one of the world´s most prominent and respected lute and baroque guitar players for decades and this is his first solo concert in Finland.

The Finnish Baroque Orchestra continues our theme of early music in a Mediterranean atmosphere, with soloists Lislevand and the festival´s artistic director Petri Kumela.

You can find surprising and strange sounds in a concert built around Tytti Arola´s sound art, where top musicians and electronics meet. Arola is one of the most interesting young Finnish composers of experimental music and the concert will feature a composition for microwave ovens and popcorn as well as the premiere of a brand new piece. During the festival you can also participate in a ukulele-workshop and take part in a nice concert in a unique milieu at the Savijärvi manor.
